Now as some of you may have guessed - I do rather like knitting. Before you mutter anything about it being boring, and that I need to get a life - sorry to be rude, but shut your mouths and listen.
Knitting is always perceived as a boring hobby - why? Well now lets see, maybe because:
Think cringe worthy Christmas jumpers - or something with an oversized knitted picture on it that never quite made sense. - thus (most probably) giving you a negative impression of all things knit worthy.
Either way - like it or not knitting has always been - and continues to be associated with all things boring.
So - why am I boring you with this? you ask.
**NEWS FLASH - KNITTING IS TRES COOL**
Believe me - TOMMY HILFIGER, HOUSE OF HOLLAND, CHANEL & ANNA SUI are a few fashionable names (of many) who sure do like knitwear in a good FW collection!
I am about to show you how knitting is fun, interesting and yes ill say it - ‘cool’.
Its part of a university assignment I have to do - not to make knitting fashionable again, but to begin a brand new topical blog. And I decided to choose knitting, because yes I think its cool (sorry that’s the last time ill say it! I promise).
The name of my new blog will be ‘knit that trend’ - and it will focus on discussing how knitting is incorporated to high end runway fashion.
There will also be a few D.I.Y snippets on there so keep your eyes peeled if you like to be ahead of fashion!

There will be more info coming along soon - If there are any particular things you would like me to discuss on this new blog then feel free to send me a little message!
REMEMBER TO FOLLOW MY BLOG FOR SIMMILAR POSTS COMING SOON!

I know I’ve been blogging a lot about wanting cold weather over the last few days… but I woke up today to find not only had my wish granted, but also that I wasn’t actually ready for it. Not being ready meaning that I have in fact no woolly grandad jumper.
For those of you who aren’t aware - a woolly grandad jumper is a knitted or woolen jumper that has a ‘grandad ish’ or ‘old fash’* pattern on it.
I found a few examples on tumblr that I like. (I think stalking tumblr bloggers for photo’s of their fabulous fashionable styling is slightly becoming a habit - I was told tumblr would change me… though i never thought it would come to stalking).

OK, OK … I know the jumper above doesn’t fit the ‘grandad’ theme to this post, but I like it - and I shall be cheese grating one of my jumpers later to see if I can get the same effect!

Really, these kind of ‘grandad’ jumpers remind me of Urban Outfitters. Im not totally sure why - maybe because to me their stereotypically cool and quite edgy.
So to break it down: It’s cold. I want a grandad jumper. I like grandad jumpers… AND since Urban Outfitters is slightly out of my price range, I shall run around charity shops until I find a real grandad jumper to suit my fashionable needs.
What do you think of these jumpers? Will you be ‘borrowing’ one off your grandad any time soon?

‘old fash’* - this is my way of saying ‘old fashioned’ … why? I’m not quite sure. I just like the way it looks.
