Now as some of you may have guessed - I do rather like knitting. Before you mutter anything about it being boring, and that I need to get a life - sorry to be rude, but shut your mouths and listen.
Knitting is always perceived as a boring hobby - why? Well now lets see, maybe because:
Think cringe worthy Christmas jumpers - or something with an oversized knitted picture on it that never quite made sense. - thus (most probably) giving you a negative impression of all things knit worthy.
Either way - like it or not knitting has always been - and continues to be associated with all things boring.
So - why am I boring you with this? you ask.
**NEWS FLASH - KNITTING IS TRES COOL**
Believe me - TOMMY HILFIGER, HOUSE OF HOLLAND, CHANEL & ANNA SUI are a few fashionable names (of many) who sure do like knitwear in a good FW collection!
I am about to show you how knitting is fun, interesting and yes ill say it - ‘cool’.
Its part of a university assignment I have to do - not to make knitting fashionable again, but to begin a brand new topical blog. And I decided to choose knitting, because yes I think its cool (sorry that’s the last time ill say it! I promise).
The name of my new blog will be ‘knit that trend’ - and it will focus on discussing how knitting is incorporated to high end runway fashion.
There will also be a few D.I.Y snippets on there so keep your eyes peeled if you like to be ahead of fashion!

There will be more info coming along soon - If there are any particular things you would like me to discuss on this new blog then feel free to send me a little message!
REMEMBER TO FOLLOW MY BLOG FOR SIMMILAR POSTS COMING SOON!

Originally it was much to my disbelief that green hair, is in fact at its height in fashion. Yes, I said it. Green hair currently seems to be very on trend. Thanks to the eccentric celebrities who are Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. Granted, green hair was around before they decided to dye their barnets, but they are the one’s who seem to have brought it into the spotlight this year.
I was shocked to discover such news, but as the nosey blogger I am, I went on to ‘investigate’ the look further. Here are a few snazzy photographs I have discovered from random tumblr blogs on the net.

After looking at these photographs … I realised that green hair didn’t have to mean an all over, grass green hair do. Please don’t get me wrong because an all over grass green hair do is absolutely fine - if that’s what your into. I like to think of myself as slightly edgy… but I don’t think I personally really have the ability to go that wild with my hair.
I realised that with the colour green, comes turquoise, blue and numerous other varieties of the shade. Rather mermaid - Esq if you ask me.
Dying my hair green would be something I would have to think about twice, but having thought a little on the matter - I do now think that the look is very appealing.
What do you think?
What is the craziest colour you would ever dare to dye your hair?
Is green hair to stay or to go?

Now if you do not already know who Jennifer Lilya is then all i have to say is SHAME. ON. YOU.
Jennifer Lilya is a fashion illustrator based in NYC (a.k.a the BIG apple… City that never sleeps… I think you get where I’m talking about).
She has been illustrating for years and has recently started blogging. This is brilliant for fashionista’s, frugalista’s and people generally excited about fashion and illustration EVERYWHERE… because it means that we can now look at her illustrations online, and keep up with her and her work - BRAVO!
Here is some of her latest work:

Jennifer says:
“I have a ton of projects on my plate right now – helping to design a line of clothes, a bunch of illustrations for blogs & websites and personal commissions. I’ve started collaborating with some great artists, so I’ll be featuring those on my sites when the time comes. I’m also planning an exhibit in Brooklyn this November.”
Until you get a chance to check out her exhibit in November (should you be so lucky) make sure you visit her blog by clicking here.
If you like fashion then you WILL enjoy it. Its as simple as that.

Once upon a time, some of you may have sneered at the thought of wearing tweed. But this Winter, believe me when I say that a tweed jacket will be the most valued part of your wardrobe.
You may have seen them about, and you may be wondering where you can get your claws on such a coveted item of the Winter season. The answer to that would be Boden.
Boden is a clothing company that has been running since 1991, they have two shops in London, but if your aren’t based around there then fear not, as their stock is also available by mail order.
Tweed jackets have a heritage style about them, and are perfect if you would like to look fashionable, feel warm and above all if you would like to be envied by every other woman in the country who has not yet switched onto the trend and share’s a love of fashion and style.

What kind of tweed jacket you go for depends on what kind of look you want to create - and what will be the most versatile for you.
Tweed fabrics have recently been coveted by designers such as Celine and Channel. So join in with the fashion frenzy and grab yourself a blazer! Tweed has been feared upon by lots of women in the past - but fashion is all about having fun with your style… so please do not be afraid to experiment.
To have a look at Bodens tweed jackets (trust me - your wardrobe will not survive the cold winter months ahead without one) click the link below:

What would you wear a tweed jacket with? Do you think they’ll make a drastic comeback this Winter?

So amongst the glitter t shirts, leather leggings, fur coats and crocheted dresses this season - another trend to be making its way slowly but surely into the lime light is the denim jacket - this time however it comes with a new look that is shearling.
Basically - its fabulous. There isn’t much more to add about it. We all saw shearling collars on leather jackets last season - great if your into the whole aviator / Top Gun look, but this season its a little more subtle and relaxed. I think it looks fashionable and comfortable (who knew those two words would be in a sentence together ;) ).
The one above is from juicy couture and was also seen being worn by Kate Bosworth some time ago.
I unfortunatley do not have the funds. If you can relate to this - then do the same as me and march your little tush’s down to Primark and buy a denim jacket - stop at a fabric shop on the way home to get some shearling… and DO IT YOURSELF.
It may take a while but it will certainly be worth it in the end. In the meantime if you have any suggestions on where to get a slightly more affordable version for my wardrobe - please let me know. You will be saving my fingers from a lot of sewing work.
